About Andersen Feeds, Inc.

Our Company
In 1943, Ray F. Andersen assumed management of the business and later purchased the mill.  During this time, the mill became known as Andersen Feeds. Unfortunately in 1963, a devastating fire destroyed the mill. This was the second time the mill had burned down, the first being in 1898. Ray immediately began plans for a new modern mill. The new structure was completed in 1964 and still operates today.

In 1973, Rays son David assumed management and later purchased the business in 1975.  David made several enhancements to the business including a Roaster, an Organic Certification, and most recently, a full line of Natural Fertilizers.

Most recently in 2012, Davids sons Ray and Matt purchased the mill making Andersen Feeds a three generations family business. Family owned and operated for over 70 years.

The feed industry has seen a lot of changes since grandpa Ray began in 1943.  Small family farms have dwindled and the business has had to adapt to the everchanging marketplace. Andersen Feeds continues to focus on the local family farmer but also supplies other feed dealers with its unique products. The business which once supplied farms within 20 miles now ships products throughout the tri-state area.
